High School Track: Steward's three wins help CV past Carlisle

Juan Steward won the 200 dash, the 100 dash and helped anchor the 400 relay as the Cumberland Valley boys track team defeated Carlisle 96-40.

The Eagles won 10 events on the boys side, including both the 1,600 run and 800 run, won by Chris Contino.

Demetrieus Thomas and Adolph Comer picked up wins in the triple jump and high jump respectively for Carlisle.

On the girls side, the Eagles swept all nine track events in a 95-41 victory over Carlisle. Abby Huber took first place in both the 400 dash and 800 run. Solane Casper won the 200 with a time of 27.5 and helped the 400 relay team win their event as well.

Boiling Springs girls 106, Bermudian Springs 43

Bermudian Springs boys 83, Boiling Springs 67

Boiling Springs swept the 11 track events and and four of the field events for a 106-43 win over Bermudian Springs. Anna Spisak took first in both the triple jump and long jump and ran the back leg of the 400 relay. Spisak completed the long jump with a 15-5 jump and the triples with a score of 34-7 1/2.

On the boys side, Bermudian Springs won nine events, including the 3,200 and long jump in an 83-67 victory over Boiling Springs.

East Pennsboro girls 78, Camp Hill 72

East Pennsboro boys 107.5, Camp Hill 42.5


Jisu Jeong won both the 100 hurdles and triple jump as East Pennsboro defeated Camp Hill 78-72. Angelica Stolzfus took home first in three events for Camp Hill, the 100 dash, 400 dash and 200 dash, She also helped the Lions 1,600 relay team to a victory.

Camp Hill won the first two events, but East Pennsboro rallied, winning 14 events overall and defeated Camp Hill 107.5-42.5. The Panthers won all seven field events and took first place in the 1,600 relay, the 200 dash and 800 run before that.

James Buchanan girls 81, Shippensburg 69

James Buchanan boys 81, Shippensburg 69


James Buchanan won 10 events handling Shippensburg 81-69. Senior Kali Renniger won both the 3,200 run and 800 run for Shippensburg.

On the boys side, Ben Jones won both the 800 run and helped the 3,200 relay team win, but James Buchanan took home an 81-69 victory over the Greyhounds.

Red Land girls 89.5, Mechanicsburg 60.5

Mechanicsburg boys 78, Red Land 72


Lindsey Bumbernick won four events, including the long jump, triple jump and the 100 hurdles as Red Land defeated Mechanicsburg 89.5-60.5.
