Carlisle Regional adds Clews to staff

Carlisle Regional Medical Center recently announced that Donna Clews, RN, PhD, CNAA, BC was selected for the senior administrative position of associate executive director of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer.

Prior to her arrival at Carlisle Regional, Clews worked in administrative roles at Lancaster General Hospital as vice president of nursing, Maine Medical Center as associate vice president of nursing, Capital Health System in Trenton, N.J. as divisional director of nursing, and at New York University Medical Center as director of maternal-child health.

Clews believes her extensive clinical experience has been a great asset that has guided her as a leader. She has held positions in the areas of inpatient, outpatient, Med-Surg, Pediatrics, NICU, ER, and ICU. She has also worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Clews has a PhD from New York University. She holds a master’s of science in nursing and PNP which she earned from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She obtained her bachelor of science in nursing from LaSalle University also in Philadelphia. She also has a certification from the American Nurses Association in Advanced Nursing Administration. Clews is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
