College Recruiting: Local athletes make intent clear for college

Wednesday marked the offical signing day for high school athletes planning on playing in college.

Several Sentinel-area athletes signed on the dotted line.

Boiling Springs’ Kara Millhouse and Jestine Angelini will both be playing their respecitve sports at Division I programs.

Millhouse will continue her cross country/track career at Penn State, while Angelini signed a letter of intent to play field hockey at Old Dominion.

For Cumberland Valley, Justin Lauro will head to Slippery Rock for soccer. Logan Sheely will head to Kutztown for football, while Tyler Guise will also play football in college at Bloomsburg. Andrew Dentler will play volleyball at George Mason, while Juan Stewart will head to Syracuse for track and field. Robin Fencel will play field hockey at Towson, and Callan Rowe will play water polo at University of Maryland.

Joining Guise at Bloomsburg, will be Shippensburg’s Shayne Clark. Northern’s Mike Davies will also be heading to Bloomsburg for football.

Trinity’s R.J. Dill already had announced he was going to Maryland for football, but the Shamrocks’ Shannon Crane announced her intent to play softball at Cornell. Nicki Brownyard will run track at Saint Francis University. Caitlyn Ragni will attend New Jersey Institute of Technology for soccer.

East Pennsboro’s John Baer will attend Campbell University to play football.

Red Land’s Skyler Hunt will sign on to play football at Kutztown, while his teammmate and Sentinel Defensive Play of the Year the past two seasons, Aubrey Moore, will play football at Penn.

Susquenita’s Ally McGuire will play field hockey at Robert Morris.
