Readers of The Sentinel will notice changes in today’s paper. You’ve been telling us for a long time that local news matters to you most in your local newspaper, and we’re responding.

The main “A” section of The Sentinel is now where you will find local news and local opinion first, obituaries, business news and news from around the state.

A2 introduces a daily calendar of events and is also a place for community news, a local columnist and other features of local interest

Sports is now Section B.

Section B also contains national and world news, tonight’s TV listings, Annie’s Mailbox and Heloise.

Weather is on the back page of the B section.

Section C is your daily free-standing Classifieds department, connecting you with local jobs, merchandise, autos, real estate, services and other needs.

In the Classifieds section, you will also find the comics, puzzles, horoscope, bridge column and almanac.

We hope you find these changes to your liking and welcome your feedback. Let us know what you think by contacting Executive Editor Hope Stephan at 240-7133 or hstephan@cumberlink.com. You can also e-mail comments to frontdoor@cumberlink.com.
