A Carlisle man remains in serious condition Friday morning after being pinned underneath his tree service truck Thursday afternoon.

Jacob A. Schrom, of Carlisle, was pinned underneath his overturned tree service truck after he lost control of the vehicle and rolled it on its side at the intersection of West Lisburn Road and the off ramp of Route 15 south on Thursday at 12:23 p.m., according to Upper Allen Township police.

Schrom suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from the truck and pinned beneath it, police say.

West Shore EMS treated Schrom at the scene and Schrom was extricated by the Upper Allen Fire Department and flown by Life Lion to Hershey Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition Friday morning.

There were no other vehicles involved, and the crash remains under investigation at this time to include a mechanical inspection of the truck, according to police.

Upper Allen Police and fire departments were assisted at the scene by the Lower Allen Police Department, Citizen’s Fire Company, Washington Fire Company, Upper Allen Fire Police and Mechanicsburg Fire Police.
