Two vehicles stolen in Carlisle
A silver 1999 Honda Accord and a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus were recently stolen in Carlisle, according to Carlisle police.
The driver of the Cirrus reported he had parked his car in the 500 block of North Bedford Street about 2:30 a.m. today but left the car running while delivering medication to a friend, police said. While he was standing in the doorway, the man said, two black males jumped in the car and drove off.
Officers responded to the area, police said, and as they were leaving the house from which the man made the complaint, they saw the vehicle drive by the house.
Officers tried to catch up with the vehicle, police said, but the suspects fled through town and ended up leaving the vehicle at F and North Pitt streets and fleeing on foot.
The Accord, which had Pennsylvania registration GJS6131 and black rims, was reported taken from the first block of West Pomfret Street between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, police said. Some Knight golf clubs, two Calloway drivers, two JL subwoofers and 300 CDs were in the car, police said.
The keys were in the ignition of the car at the time it was stolen, according to police.
The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
Police ask anyone with information about the thefts to call 243-5252.
