Workers demolishing W. Pa. house find arm bones
GREENVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Forensic experts are examining three human arm bones found by a crew demolishing a house in western Pennsylvania.
The Mercer County Coroner says the bones were found Thursday beneath the home in Greenville, about 80 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Experts from Mercyhurst College in Erie hope to determine how old the bones are. The experts did not immediately find other bones at the site.
The house was built in the early 1900s and is owned by Dr. Sam Orr, who was district attorney in Mercer County before going to medical school in the mid-1980s. Orr now lives in South Carolina and was renting the house out until it was torn down.
Orr says the discovery is "kind of exciting." He bought the house in 1971 and moved out in 1986.
