Man charged with sex crime
A Carlisle-area man has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse following an incident Friday morning at South Spring Garden Estates in South Middleton Township.
State police at Carlisle say Jay Allen Hench, 50, was invited into the home of a 20-year-old male around 1 a.m. Police say Hench then provided alcohol to the underage victim to get him drunk.
Hench then performed oral sex on the man while he was passed out, police say.
Police investigate indecent assault
State police at Carlisle are investigating a report of indecent assault that took place on Hair Road in Penn Township between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Police are withholding the name of the accused, a 64-year-old man, and the victim, a 26-year-old female, pending investigation.
Teenager charged with Indecent exposure
State police at Newport have charged a 17-year-old senior at Greenwood High School in Millerstown with indecent exposure and open lewdness after an incident in April.
During a study hall, police say, the student became unruly, pulled down his pants and exposed his genitals to a teacher’s aide in the presence of other students.
Woman charged with harassment
State police at Newport charged a New Bloomfield-area woman with harassment following an incident Wednesday in the 100 block of Ethan Avenue in Wheatfield Township, Perry County.
About 5 p.m., police say, Jamie Lynn Turpin, 25, pushed a 19-year-old New Bloomfield man and punched him in the neck. Turpin then grabbed him by the neck, but he broke free, went to his residence and locked the door.
Police charged pair with harassment
State police at Carlisle charged a 46-year-old woman and 50-year-old man with harassment after they started an argument Thursday that turned physical.
Police say the incident took place in the first block of Thornhill Court, South Middleton Township, about 5:08 p.m.
Police investigate auto theft
State police at Carlisle are investigating the theft of a red 1999 Ford Taurus station wagon from the 800 block of Trindle Road in Monroe Township between Jan. 1 and April 15.
The car belonged to a 75-year-old Mechanicsburg-area man. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 249-2121.
Prescription pills stolen
Two bottles of Oxycontin were reported stolen from a residence on the first block of Noble Boulevard last Friday, according to Carlisle police.
Police said approximately 96 30mg and 30 80 mg pills were taken during the daylight hours while the resident was taking a walk.
Bike theft reported
A red Mongoose BMX freestyle boys’ bike was stolen from the 500 block of F Street, according to Carlisle police.
The bike, valued at $50, was taken between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Athletic bag stolen
A black Adidas duffel bag was stolen from a Carlisle High School football player on Aug. 20.
Carlisle police said the bag was taken between 5:30 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. while the student was at the high school practice field. It contained an inhaler, a practice jersey and pants and a pair of armpads.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 243-5252.
Charges filed in fight
A man was charged with harassment after an incident Monday in Duncannon.
State police at Newport said William Roland Madden Jr., 49, pushed a 40-year-old woman on the right side of her abdomen during an argument about a cat that died after giving birth to stillborn kittens.
The incident happened at 11:28 p.m. in the first block of North Market Street, police said.
