A Boiling Springs woman was charged with theft by deception and access device fraud after allegedly using a stolen debit card at multiple locations in mid-August.

According to state police at Carlisle, Amberlynn Shoemaker, 21, of Boiling Springs, took a debit card owned by a woman who lives in the 800 block of Sandbank Road, Dickinson Township. Shoemaker allegedly made several purchases at various stores and withdrew money at several ATM locations, without the card owner’s permission, totaling $2,998.
