Capital Area Transit has announced changes in its fall service schedule to take effect Monday.

“Our scheduling department is constantly reviewing the service we offer to improve the timing and routes for our customers,” Jim Hoffer, CAT executive director, said, “and I’m confident that the fall changes will continue to improve our services.”

“We have had consistent ridership growth over the past four years, with ridership up over 11 percent in July 2008 over July 2007, in part due to the continued adjustments and additions we are making,” he said.

CAT fares remain the same, with a one-way cash fare starting at $1.65 or a monthly pass starting at $45.

Routes will have either time adjustments, routing adjustments or slight service level adjustments. All changes are now on the CAT Web site at www.cattransit.com.
