Carlisle woman discovered burglar Saturday
A 21-year-old Carlisle woman woke up at 3:30 a.m. Saturday and saw a strange man in her bedroom, according to Carlisle police.
The incident happened in the 100 block of South West Street, police said, and the woman said the man was a white male about 5-foot-10, possibly with blond hair.
The woman said she and her roommates were sleeping that night, and that the man left without further incident or taking anything, police said. He apparently entered through an upstairs window, police said.
Police returned to the home at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on a report of an open door. Officers talked to another 21-year-old female resident and determined that an intruder apparently entered through the front door between 8 p.m. and 2:40 a.m.
Nothing was found missing inside the home.

Mentally disabled Newville girl reported missing
A mentally disabled Newville girl has been missing since about 7 p.m. Friday, according to state police at Carlisle.
Misty Nicole Weaver, 19, got into an argument with her stepmother and left the home in the first block of Vine Street on foot, police said. Since then, she has not had any contact with family or friends, police said.
Weaver is described as a white female about 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds, with short brown hair, police said.
Police ask anyone who sees Weaver to call 249-2121.
Parent cited for teen’s curfew violation in Carlisle
Gina Myers of Harrisburg was cited for parental responsibility of curfew after her 15-year-old son was found walking in Carlisle after curfew Saturday, according to Carlisle police.
Police saw the teen in the 100 block of West North Street at 12:17 a.m., police said, and he fled when informed that he was being arrested for curfew.
The department has had recurring problems with the teen and therefore cited his mother, police said.
Carlisle police seek 13-year-old runaway female
Carlisle police are seeking the public’s help in determining the whereabouts of a 13-year-old Carlisle girl.
Police said Tiffany Mott ran away from the first block of South Spring Street at 1:16 a.m. Friday. She is described as being 5-foot-6 and 135 pounds, with blue eyes and long brown hair, police said.
When last seen, Tiffany had her hair in a side ponytail and wore blue jean capris, a white T-shirt with multi-color designs and white sneakers, police said.
Police ask anyone with information on Tiffany’s whereabouts to call 243-5252.
Minor injury in Upper Mifflin crash Sunday
Floyd C. Miller received minor injuries Sunday in Upper Mifflin Township when he swerved to miss a deer on Mountain Road and hit a tree, according to state police at Carlisle.
Miller, 51, of Shippensburg, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet K1500, police said. He wore a seat belt and did not require EMS transport, and the crash happened at 8:11 a.m. about 900 feet north of Harmon Road, police said.
Penn Township church shot with BBs
Centerville Lutheran Church was shot with 18 BBs between June 30 and Sunday, according to state police at Carlisle.
The church is at 1874 Walnut Bottom Road in Penn Township, police said, and damage to the windows is estimated at $250.

Money, PlayStation 2 stolen from Carlisle home Friday
A PlayStation 2 and $600 were stolen from a home in the 200 block of North West Street between 2 and 5:30 p.m. Friday, according to Carlisle police.
Police ask anyone with information on the theft call 243-5252.
Attempted burglary in West Pennsboro
Someone attempted to enter a home in the first block of Bear School Lane, West Pennsboro Township, between Aug. 10 and Sept. 7, according to state police at Carlisle.
The person cut a part of the screen door, only to find the door within locked, police said.
Police ask anyone with information on the incident to call 243-5252.
Ring taken from business in South Middleton
A ring belonging to a Dillsburg resident was taken from Cost Cutters between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday, according to state police at Carlisle.
The store is at 262 Westminster Drive in South Middleton Township, police said.

Minor injury in West Pennsboro crash Monday
Wendy A. Stoner was taken to Carlisle Regional Medical Center as a precaution for minor injuries after a crash Monday in West Pennsboro Township, according to state police at Carlisle.
Margaret W. Quintanar, 50, of Carlisle was driving a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country west on Creek Road at 9:10 a.m. when she proceeded from the stop sign at Old Mill Road intersection without proper clearance, police said, leaving Stoner, 58, of Carlisle, who was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer south on Old Mill Road, unable to stop in time.
Both women wore seat belts, police said, and Quintanar was charged with a traffic violation. No further information was available by deadline Tuesday.
