Tips sought in Sept. 19 Chambersburg robbery

Chambersburg police and Franklin County Crime Solvers are seeking information on a robbery that happened on Sept. 19.

Police said a man entered M&T Bank, 278 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, and made a demand for cash, then fled the scene on foot.

Last seen running north across Lincoln Way East, the suspect was described as a black male between 30 and 40, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, with a stocky build. He wore a white T-shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and a black and white ball cap, police said.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Solvers at 263-3000. They also note that information leading to the arrest of the person involved may result in a reward of up to $2,000.
