Lake enhanced snow showers produced the area's first measurable snowfall this morning across Central Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service says scattered snow showers will remain across the area for this morning.

Locations north and northwest of Harrisburg will see the greatest chances for an accumulating snow with 3-6 inches possible.

For areas near or south of Harrisburg, a coating of snow could create some slippery conditions for the morning commute.

Snow showers will likely taper to flurries this afternoon as cold and blustery condtions develop and last through Saturday.
